The system uses a&nbsp;fast scientific CMOS camera and custom developed optomechanics. Changing the magnification, focusing and orientation adjustment of the camera are motorized and operate within the existing beamline control system.<\/h4>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"l-section wpb_row height_custom\"><div class=\"l-section-h i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols vc_row via_flex valign_top type_default stacking_default\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-6 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h3 style=\"text-align: left;\">Low magnification white beam system for the TOMCAT beamline on the SLS synchrotron<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pco.de\/highspeed-cameras\/pcodimax-s4\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The fast scientific CMOS camera PCO Dimax<\/a> is used for various experiments within the beamline <a href=\"http:\/\/www.psi.ch\/sls\/tomcat\/tomcat\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TOMCAT<\/a> on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.psi.ch\/sls\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Swiss Light Source<\/a> synchrotron(<a href=\"http:\/\/www.psi.ch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PSI<\/a>, Switzerland). The design is based on a&nbsp;similar system developed for the ANKA synchrotron, but a&nbsp;large part had to be modified due to dimensional constraints on the TOMCAT beamline and also due to the continuous change of magnification. The system finally consists of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a scintillator holder on a&nbsp;motorized stage (stepper motor), equipped with an independent optical encoder (position readout)<\/li>\n<li>mirror with reduced X-ray scattering and optional lead glass filter<\/li>\n<li>lens operating at magnifications of 2x &#8211; 4x (depending on the relative position of the scintillator, lens and camera)<\/li>\n<li>motorised camera table (z-axis, stepper motor), equipped with independent optical encoder (z-axis position reading)<\/li>\n<li>motorised rotary table for camera (stepper
