Design of the carbon composite interferometer

The device was developed for the Institute of Physical Biology of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice in cooperation with companies Optax and Compotech s.r.o in Sušice.

Design of the carbon composite interferometer

The interferometer is to be used to measure the thermal length expansion of profiles made of composite materials with small thermal dilation. The device is based on the principle of Michelson interferometer with laser light source. Due to suppress temperature dependencies in the device itself, carbon composite is used as the main construction material.
